Elsje Denison

Preschool Teacher

Elsje is thrilled to begin her second year at UDA Creative Arts Preschool as a preschool teacher and share in the adventure of learning. She absolutely loves working with children and teaching music so she considers this opportunity a dream come true. Elsje has a bachelor’s degree in education with a music minor. She has had extensive training in music including private vocal training, piano, vocal performance and guitar. Additionally, she participated in vocal ensembles at the high school and collegiate levels, and currently teaches private voice lessons.

Elsje has taught high school level child development courses and preschool labs, worked in Child’s Choice Day Care, and organized and taught a neighborhood preschool in Texas. She was an art teacher at Sunrise Elementary in Sandy and is a volunteer music teacher at Jordan Ridge Elementary in South Jordan. She is a current board member for Power of Moms serving as an Editor and Author Liaison. Her work has been published in Motherhood Realized: An Inspiring Anthology of the Hardest Job You’ll Ever Love, on Power of Moms, Donny Osmond Home, and the Desert News.

Fun Facts:
  • Mother of 3 awesome boys.
  • Elsje is Dutch for “little Else” (like Elsa the princess).
  • Enjoys running, writing, gardening and spending time with her family.
